Veteran hip-hop duo El-P and Killer Mike fuse together to form Run The Jewels: the most exciting titan combination since 'Ye and Jay. They're playing this year at Falls Festival over New Years and just leaked that they'll be backing this up with a sideshow in Sydney.
Here are five reasons to go to it with an accompanying gif:

1. New Album Out Soon
After last year's explosive self titled debut album, the duo took no time in turning around and announcing the release of their second album (surprise name) Run The Jewels 2. Its prequel showcased lyrics more dense than a good sponge cake and beats that were more dope than your stoner friends, so no doubt the follow-up will be way better than any of my similes above.

2. They Hired Some Friends RTJ 2 features some unlikely guests: Travis Barker from Blink-182 (yeah, the dad of that that internet troll Tristan Barker) and Rage Against The Machine's Zack de la Rocha. So, get ready for some heavy shit. It's going down.

3. There's A Song On The Album Called 'Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck) I'm pretty sure that speaks for itself.
4. They're Bloody Hilarious

5. As if you needed any more reasons to come, El and Mike decided to call on one of the koolest young kats in the hip hop game at the moment: Brooklyn's Joey Bada$$. After kicking it around the world for a few years now, he's announced the release of his debut album, B4DA$$, out this spring. Sweet rapper, even sweeter name.
