They say all good things must come to an end, but stupid cliched sayings aren't going to soften the massive blow that came this morning.
One of Australia's most beloved homegrown talents, Bluejuice have announced a final tour (and released a single as though that's going to make us feel any better).
Since 2001 the crazy guys have been storming Australian stages and pleasing ears globally, but alas, the Sydney group have decided to call it quits at the end of this year.
"After 13 years of broken bones," said a release from the band, "broken hearts, sore heads, passive aggression, regular aggression, several arrests, questionable skin infections, and a busload of infuriated tour managers, Bluejuice are announcing they are calling it quits at the end of 2014. With three acclaimed records and countless formidable live shows under their belts, the band have decided to take a peek at what exists on the other side of the velvet curtain, to work on new things, and to hopefully wear their sequined leotards less often."
Their impassioned and electric performances, their mischeivous granny-kissing, and most importantly, their vibrant and fun music, will be missed dearly - but they'll still be around for a while so TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT WHILE YOU CAN.
All Ages Concerts Sydney have been fans of the juice before we even existed. Their live show is one of the best (if not the actual number one) things you will ever experience - not only do they have an incredible energy, they generate an atmosphere, one that's not limited by numbers or venues, they can pull it off in an arena or the mainstage of a major festival and we'd bet they could do it with an audience of 3. If you are going to go to any show this year - their Metro Theatre show is the one you should DEFINITELY go to. Sell your Miley Cyrus tickets, sell your Peppa Pig live tickets, and buy a few of these doobies because it's your last chance - you DEFINITELY shouldn't miss it.
