It’s the news some people were dying to hear and some people would prefer to die than hear: new Kanye West music is on the way. That’s right, just over a year after the polarising Yeezus, the rapper/actor/designer/god/gay fish is back, according to an article with GQ Magazine.

This news comes just months after the announcement and then sudden postponement of his Australian tour (which now hits Qantas Credit Union Arena for two dates this September), and mere weeks after his wife, Kim Kardashian, launched possibly the worst iPhone app since Flappy Bird: Kim Kardashian Hollywood.

Aside from his wife’s obvious vanity and spending obsessions, the follow-up to Yeezus is sure to send waves rippling through the music community once again. In his interview, transcribed via Pitchfork, the self-proclaimed ‘God’ (his words, not ours) announced the title of his upcoming single, ‘All Day’, revealing it showcases “certain lines that Jay Z would say”. We’re not sure if this is Kanye’s version of 99 Problems, but after hearing snippets of his contribution for Adidas’ World Cup Advertisement, ‘God Level’, we highly doubt it.

Mister West also shared the desired release date of the aforementioned track: early September, with more details of the album to follow soon after. He expressed his desire to “add fulfilment to peoples lives. Add wonder… Add magic.”

We don’t know what this 'magic' is, but let’s hope it’s more ‘ball so hard’ and less ‘Kim Kardashian in Hollywood’.

Here’s that video, in case you’d forgotten.
