Tommy Ramone has passed away

The prestigious Thomas Erdelyi a.k.a Tommy Ramone of The Ramones has died on July 11th at the age of 65.

The Ramones’ Drummer was the last remaining member of the original band after the death of first vocalist, Joey Ramone in 2001 due to Lymphoma, then Bassist, Dee Dee who passed in 2002, followed by guitarist Johnny Ramone who died of prostate cancer in 2004, and then finally, the last standing original member of the historic band, drummer Tommy Ramone passed away due to a bile duct cancer in a hospice on July 11thas Drummers Marky, Richie and Elvis Ramone and Bassist C.J Ramone. Tommy will most definitely be missed in not only the music community, but universally because as beautiful these musicians were, the mark they left on modern culture is more widespread that they’re actual commercial success ever could. Tommy and The Ramones were a definitive force behind the American and English punk rock movement and will be embedded in history.
