Coldplay and Cat Power release new tune

English pop kings, Coldplay, have made friends with the stunningly voiced Cat Power with the release of their collaborative single called 'Wish I Was Here' for the soundtrack for the upcoming comedy drama of the same name. The film starring Kate Hudson and Zach Braff is due hit our screens on July 18th.

The track features a heart-warming Coldplay-ish melody, which is joined by the humbling voice of the American songstress, then accompanied by Chris Martin that transforms into a triumphant melody that will warm you.

Both Cat and Coldplay have heavily been on the Australian scene lately, with Coldplay coming over here for a tour and recording a video in our beloved Newtown, and Cat Power has recently graced our shores performing at The Enmore Theatre in early 2014 and also came over to perform 3 shows for The Sydney Festival in January.
