We had a quick chat with the lovely Matt McCaffery from Jenny Broke The Window. If you're one of the kool kats on the block that came along to our Christmas gig last year I'm sure you'd remember their killer live set! They'll be playing another AA show in Sydney on Sunday the 6th of April supporting The Fratellis, so make sure you head along to catch this smmoooooth act.

It’s fantastic to see you guys playing some all ages shows! Were you big Fratellis fans before you found out you’d be supporting them?

Yeah we were. The brothers Matt and Sam especially, they listened to them heaps through high-school so it was pretty strange and amazing when we found out we would be opening for them.

What dates are you most looking forward to on the tour?

Well as we’ve already done Brisbane and Melbourne at this point (which were both a lot of fun), we’re gonna say the show at The Metro. We were looking forward to each one in different ways though. It’ll be great to play at a local venue which we’ve all grown up going to and seeing our favourite bands.

Can we expect any new releases in the coming months, maybe an album in the works?

We’re aiming for a release in mid-2014.

What piece of music has been most significant to you in your life?

Hmm, that’s a tricky one. We’ve probably all got different answers. But as a group, maybe Dancing In The Dark by Bruce Springsteen. That’s always a hit in the car on the way to practice.

You can wear one band t-shirt for the rest of your life, what is it?

The newly released Jenny Broke the Window official merchandise t-shirt coming to a store near you as of tomorrow! Just kidding. We’d all wear Slayer shirts so people wouldn’t mess with us.

Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for young up and coming musicians?Step 1) Buy an acoustic guitar

Step 2) Learn the chords D major and B minor (they’re the good ones)

Step 3) Go on X-Factor

Step 4) ???

Step 5) $$$

Just work hard and enjoy what you’re doing.
