Arcade Fire and Pearl Jam broke someone's nose.

Kiwi Pearl Jam fan, Sherif Hassan was super psyched when invited to play a basketball game alongside members of Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire. Turns out Win Butler (Arcade Fire's firy frontman) lives up to his competitive name. Sherif told Triple j: "He's aggressive, I'll tell you that much, he broke my nose. It was actually the last play of the game - the one time I decided to play proper defence. All I heard was Win going off about how the rules are rubbish down here, and throwing balls around and chucking a bit of a hissy fit."

But it wasn't all bad and bloody, Sherif said it was 'worth it'. He and his mates were hooked up with backstage passes for the Auckland Big Day Out (lucky duck).

I wish Win Butler would break my nose, that'd be AWESOME.
